It gave me the chance to develop personally, academically, and socially, and those experiences continue to shape who I am today.

Jude’s story

Wymondham College

The bursary helped me move out of a difficult environment and into a completely new one. Although it felt unfamiliar at first, it gave me the chance to bond and build friendships with people from different backgrounds, classes, and even countries. That experience really improved my social skills and pushed me to grow outside of the bubble I was used to and comfortable with.

The school also provided opportunities that most others couldn’t. A highlight was being able to travel to Dubai for a rugby tournament, which was an unforgettable experience. I also had the chance to take part in sports and activities I never would have had the opportunity to try otherwise.

On top of that, the academic system at Wymondham was much more hands-on and genuinely focused on making sure every student achieved their best, which made a huge difference compared to a regular school environment.

The bursary has changed my life by opening doors I never thought I would have access to. It gave me the chance to develop personally, academically, and socially, and those experiences continue to shape who I am today.

I am now studying Economics at the University of Nottingham and hope to pursue a career in the finance industry. The support I received has given me the confidence to follow this path and aim high for the future.
