I never would have picked what I was doing now because I never would have had exposure to the things I’m learning about now.

Ellie’s story

St. Peter’s College

Ellie is one of our Springboard graduates, she was awarded a bursary to St Peter's College.

Ellie grew up in Liverpool in a situation of domestic abuse from an early age. Her strong ties to her community in Liverpool remain as a huge goal is to set up a children’s charity for domestic abuse victims, to aid people starting off on a similar foot to Ellie herself.

‍Ellie chose to study economics at A-Level at St Peter’s which would not have been available at her local high school; she “never would have picked what I was doing now because I never would have had exposure to the things I’m learning about now”.

Ellie’s advice to the next pupils embarking on the RNCSF journey would be to just go for it. Say yes to absolutely everything. It’s a once in a lifetime thing.
